Welcome to Better in touch - Sutton
On 7th April 2008 in touch took on the provision of Generic Tenancy Support Services across the London Borough of Sutton. Our service works in partnership with the London Borough of Sutton in meeting the housing related support needs of people across the borough. Our aim is to provide easy access arrangements for people who require a housing support service to either access new accommodation, or who need support to maintain their current accommodation.
To meet this aim the service has an “open access” approach, which simply means that anybody who has a connection to Sutton and has a housing support need can apply for a service. We take direct applications, applications from family or friends and applications from statutory, community and voluntary services. The service provides support to an average of 100 people at any one time and we operate a priority based waiting list to manage demand at peak times.
We are committed to meeting the housing support needs of a wide spectrum of people across the local communities we work in and this includes people with more complex and challenging support needs. To support this aim we are committed to providing a priority response to those people who find themselves in a housing crisis. If you are applying for support either for yourself or on behalf of someone else and you or they are in crisis please make that clear on your application so we can respond accordingly.
